Former Goldman Sachs executive Noel Fisher says he’s excited to be at the top of the food chain at Apple.
Fisher is joining a high-profile team at Apple that will help guide the company through the coming period, including hiring its first female CEO.
The job description for Fisher reads: “Fisher is the CEO of Apple’s Global Food and Nutrition team.
She is responsible for the company’s global food and nutrition initiatives, including innovation, innovation, customer service, and business development.
Fisher also has leadership roles in the Apple Health and Apple Watch programs, including managing all strategic initiatives for Apple’s Health and HealthKit.”
Fisher’s appointment follows another high-level hire in recent weeks: former Disney CEO Bob Iger is expected to take the helm of Walt Disney Co. after stepping down at the end of last year.
Fisher will take over from the late Bob Igers leadership.
Fisher was named CEO of the tech giant in January 2017.
Fisher left the firm in 2016 to become a venture capitalist.
He previously served as the chairman and CEO of PayPal.
His most notable venture was funding a $3.6 billion funding round for the social networking platform Facebook in 2015.
